The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in power within the city.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of heroes who will split off from the main group to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team includes Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might look out of place, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team understands precisely where to head next after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then cleared his obligations and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a nasty location.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the team reach areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor vowed a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:

  • Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the family.

This results in them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in search of the traitor.

Future Episodes

According to episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Explorers and Schemers parties.

Fans can look forward to learning which characters will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
